Graph Data Tab:

The graph data tab allows plotting and simple fitting of data in individual scans as well as combined data.  To graph a single scan, the top-most blue button must say Graphing data sets (any column) (as opposed to Graphing Data Buffers - to change the selection simply click on the button). Type the appropriate scan number in the Run Number box.  The default x and y values specified in the corresponding data file will then appear in the X_Data_Column and Y_Data_Column list boxes and the user can change these values to correspond to the desired x and y columns for the plot.  If New Plot is selected, clicking on the Graph Data button will plot the scan with the specified x and y values.
To perform a fit to the data, enter the appropriate number of peaks in the Fit to N peaks box.  The initial guesses can then be changed by clicking on the grey up/down arrows or by typing the numbers into the appropriate numerical boxes (when the guess values change, a solid curve corresponding to these initial guesses will be plotted).  Any value can be held by clicking on the green light next to the relevant parameter. Once reasonable initial guesses are entered, the fit is performed by clicking on the Perform Fit button (the button will turn red and indicate Fitting while a fit is being performed).  When the fit is completed, the fit coefficients and the chi-squared value will be displayed.

To overplot several plots, select Overplot instead of New Plot, type the number in the Run Number box, select the appropriate x and y columns and click on the Graph Data button..  The data in each plotted scan can be fit by selecting the appropriate scan from the drop down menu next to the Perform Fit button (labelled Ni powder (1,0,0) in the image below).  The same procedure as outlined above can be used to perform the fit.

The data contained in data buffers can also be plotted in the Graph Data tab (for more information on generating and plotting data buffers, see the Combine Data help page).

A hardcopy of the current plot can be obtained by clicking the Hardcopy button.  The destination printer can be changed from the main program by selecting File - Page Setup from the pull-down menus as shown in the left panel image below.  The page setup box will then appear (as shown in the right panel image below) and the printer can be changed by selecting the Printer setup ... button.

The standard printer selection box will then appear and the printer can be selected from the Name pull-down menu (see image below).  Once the correct printer is selected the change will be applied by clicking on the OK button.
