The hide command can be used to show or hide the positions of a
specific motor. This show/hide state defines which motor positions
are printed in the logfile and which motor positions are displayed on
the Status
Display.
The syntax for the "hide" command is:
hide motor1 0/1 motor2 0/1 ...
where an argument of 1 hides the motor and 0 shows it. The hide
command with no arguments will print out which motors are being held.
NOTE that all motor positions are recorded in the datafile (as opposed
to the logfile) regardless of the show/hide state.
The hide command can also be accessed from the GUI by
selecting the Show/Hide
tab from the Setup
- Hardware - Motors tabs. To hide (or show if already
hidden) a given motor, the green button at the bottom of the tab must be
changed from "Monitoring
... Click to allow changes" to "Changing ... click
to monitor". Click on
the Show
button to show or hide a given motor (a green light
means a motor is shown and a red light
means the motor is hidden
- in the image below, motors marc,
mtrans, mfocus, and mcrystal are being hidden and all
others are being shown). Once the show/hide state of the motors is
acceptable, the hide
command is issued by clicking on the blue Update Parameters
button.
