The sample command is used to set various properties of the sample.
The syntax for the sample command is:
sample type value name "sample name" mosaic value
Where the value
of type
can be either powder
or crystal,
the value
of name
must be included in quotes unless it is a single word, and the value of mosaic is the
mosaic spread of the sample in minutes. Any combination of 1,2, or
3 arguments can be given in any order.
Examples:
sample type crystal sample name "Test sample Number 2" sample mosaic 45 type crystal
The sample command can
also be accessed from the GUI by selecting the Sample/Mode
Information tab from the Sample
top-level tab. To set the sample information, the
green button at the bottom of the tab must be changed from "Monitoring ...
Click to allow changes" to "Changing ... click
to monitor". The sample name
is typed in the Sample Name
text box, the Sample
Type is selected with the blue pull-down menu, the Sample Mosaic
is typed in the numerical control, and the sample command itself is
issued by clicking on the blue Update Parameters
button.
